2018 Update

The scope of service provided by The Foundation widened in 2018 whilst still maintaining regular support for Awoyaya Primary Health Centre, our main focus in Ibeju Lekki Local government, Lagos state.

The Foundation now has active support for Sabo Agura Primary Health Centre in Sagamu local government of Ogun state, the home town of our eponym, Zacchaeus Okunoren.

The twenty two Primary Health Centres in Sagamu local government are managed by a senior medical officer of health.

One of these health centres (Batoro) has been upgraded and serves as a referral centre for other primary health centres. Patients requiring further specialist care are referred to Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, also in Sagamu.

Sabo Agura Primary Health Centre( PHC) is managed by a senior nursing officer ( Apex) and team of dedicated nurse/midwives and experienced support workers. Health care students are sent to the PHC for rotational community placement.

Sabo Agura PHC provides 24hr service for maternity, general outpatients and runs weekly antenatal, family planning and infant welfare clinics for the community.

A trustee of The Foundation assists the nurses on antenatal and infant welfare clinic days and has been able to identify areas where support is required.

Subsequent to this, The Foundation presented two fetal dopplers (sonicaid), essential medical devise, for fetal wellbeing.

Update on the Twins

Taiwo and kehinde were five years old last Christmas and both attends a private nursery school in village. They are well cared for by their grandmother and aunties.

Zac Okunoren Healthcare Foundation remains grateful to the few but regular supporters with firm believe that others will join our worthy course.
